The March 3 luncheon, hosted by CREW Jacksonville at the River Club, featured moderator Alan Verlander, executive director of the Jacksonville Sports Council, the panel included Mark Frisch, owner of the Jacksonville Armada FC soccer team; Mark Lamping, president of the Jacksonville Jaguars; and Matt Rapp, executive director of THE PLAYERS Championship. The group discussed how the business of sports contributes to the local economy and attracting more people to Downtown can push Jacksonville toward becoming a sports destination city.
